Pomodoro activity is done to check and enhance our focus to work that we are doing.

Important Note to Readers :(**AND NO; DONT TAKE THE TOPIC LITERALLY,BECAUSE I AM NOT GOING TO EAT A FROG WITH A TOMATO ).

Frog can be taken as distractions and Pomodoro can be taken as a sweet fruit that can be taken in a regular intervals after the time ends or the task is completed .

This activity initiated at the time when was I about to start the section 2 of online course ‘’ B193 Productivity: The Secret of Getting Things Done’’. I set the Pomodoro timer at 25 minutes and then started to work. when I was in the process of doing this course i experienced many distractions.

In the first 3 minutes the continuous WhatsApp and Facebook notifications started to pop up and I had the urge to see those notifications , after seeing them I had a feeling of calmness (even they were not important).

‘‘Guilty’’ .This feeling of guilt stuck with me unless & until I complete this course.

I spent almost 3 minutes of surfing the notifications . Then I moved back to do my course. Its been 7 minutes from the last distraction ,then my phone rang and call came from the ecommerce store delivery man to know my house address so that he can deliver it So now 13 minutes have passed altogether & then again I spent another 6 minutes to do an online order from the grocery store because my mom asked.

The order had to be done because the food items needed to present in house because of Ramadan. so 19 minutes have been spent in these distraction and in the remaining 6 minutes I had to complete the 6 parts of section 2 .After completion of 25 minutes I ate a biscuit, should I have ate the biscuit ??The question stays in my mind.

Next Round: for the next round I had to switch off my phone and told my family that I need to complete my task in the next 30 minutes so excuse me for a bit . THEN I was able to complete the section 2 at my own pace .

I had to do 25 minutes two more times to complete my course fully. After completing it I had 3 more biscuits together.

I got to know that my focus is too low and I keep on getting distracted with ease . I had to minimize all the distraction to get the work done on time .

Conclusion (experience ) : I have come to the conclusion through this activity that watch out for distraction & time wasters because they won’t let you do the work, prioritize your work so that you can do important tasks in the given time, these intervals in Pomodoro technique are helpful to increase focus in the long run and most important make sure to tell your family to excuse you for some time so that work can be completed without any distractions :D
